Petra Scholé Statement of Faith: Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, (Exodus 20:2-3, Mark 12:29)
The Father Almighty, (Ephesians 4:6, Malachi 2:10, Gen 17:1)
Maker of Heaven and Earth, (Gen 1:1, Isa 40:28, Rev 10:6)
And of all things visible and invisible. (Col 1:16, Rev 4:11)
And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all ages. (John 3:16, Heb 1:6, Rev 1:8)
God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, (John 1:1, 1 John 1:5, Psalm 2:7, Heb 1:5)
Being of one substance with the Father; (John 10:30, Isaiah 44:6, Col2:9)
By whom all things were made. (John 1:1-3, I Cor 8:6)
Who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from Heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary and was made man. (Mat 1:20-23, Luke 19:10, John 1:14)
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, (Acts 2:36, Mat 27:2,26, Mark 15:15)
He suffered and was buried, and the third day He rose again, according to the scriptures. (Mat 16:21, I Cor 15:3-4, Mark 15:46)
And ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father, (Acts 1:9, 1 Pet 3:22, Mark 16:19)
And He shall come again, in glory, to judge both the living and the dead, whose Kingdom shall have no end. (Acts 1:10-11, Rev 1:7, John 5:22, Acts 10:42)
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, (John 14:16, Titus 3:5-6)
Who proceeds from the Father, (John 15:26, Luke 11:13)
Who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, (Is 6:3, Rev 5:13, Matt 28:19)
Who spake by the Prophets. (Num 11:29, Micah 3:8, Acts 2:17, 18)
And we believe in one holy catholic (universal) and apostolic church. (Eph 5:25-27, 1 Cor 1:2, 1 Tim 3:15)
We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 22:16, 1 Pet 3:21, Rom 6:3-4, Mat 28:19)
And we look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. (Rev 21:1-5, 1 Cor 15:12, 21-22, John 3:16, Rom 11:6)
